LAGOS-IBADAN EXPRESSWAY RESIDENTS AND TRADERS LAMENTS ABOUT EVIL HAPPENINGSS
Some traders and residents of the Lagos-Ibadan expressway have expressed sad concerns on the spate of kidnappings and armed robberies in the highway.
During a visit to the affected area by Channels TV, a resident complained that criminal activities in the area were beyond the capacity of the vigilante group.
You may have heard that some travelers reportedly got abducted on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway. The incident has since become a topic of concern to many Nigerians.
Narrating her ordeal, a trader along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway said, "Some armed men came to rob us around 10 pm. Although the security officers patrol the area, we need more actions."
Another trader shared her experience by saying, "They steal our goods, and this development has made us lose customers. We want enough security to end kidnappings around here."
Shedding more light on the incidents, a male community member said, "There are many kidnappers in this area, and they recently attacked two people. The assailants kidnapped a factory worker recently.
The said factory is operated by some expatriates. The criminal activities are too much, and these developments led us to employ vigilantes to secure the area. However, the vigilantes are not enough as we need more security officers.
